The wife of the defendant in the “case of Ukrainian saboteurs” Andriy Zakhtey announced a new initiative # TalkToUs, urging the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to communicate with them about a possible exchange. She reports this on her Facebook page.
"I am a wife of Andriy Zakhtey, a political prisoner, the so-called"Crimean saboteur"sentenced to 6 years and 6 months of a maximum-security colony. My daughter and I have been waiting for my husband for 4 years! This is an initiative #TalkToUs. We, families of political prisoners, urge President Volodymyr Zelensky to communicate with us. The President's team promised to exchange political prisoners in March 2020. Now it is April and there is still no exchange of political prisoners, nor is there communication with the relatives from the President's Office,"the statement reads.
The familiesare puzzled and call on the President to honestly tell them what will happen to their relatives, the political prisoners of the Kremlin, who are still awaiting release from Crimean and Russian prisons.
