The Archbishop of the Crimean Diocese of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine Klyment appealed to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky with a request to help release the so-called case of Ukrainian saboteurs defendants Vladimir Dudka and Oleksiy Bessarabov, since their state of health has long been alarming for relatives. This was reported by the Crimea.Realities media agency.

"Vladimir Dudka has a severe form of duodenal ulcer, adenoma, arterial hypertension with bradycardia, which at his age (55 years old) can be fatal. A dermatological disease has appeared while he was colony”,- Klyment wrote.
Klyment notes that Oleksiy Bessarabov has a disease of the stomach, kidneys and a progressive decrease in vision. In addition, no one takes into account the fact that Oleksiy has a small child, born in 2009, with mental and physical problems that require constant medical supervision.
“I appeal to you with a request to facilitate the liberation and return of Crimeans to Ukraine. Do everything possible to bring them back to Ukraine in the near future”,- Klyment addressed Zelensky.
We remind that on November 9, 2016, FSB officers detained Vladimir Dudka, Dmytro Shtyblikov, Oleksiy Bessarabov and Gleb Shabliy in Sevastopol on suspicion of preparing a sabotage in the Crimea (article 30 and paragraph “a” of part 2 of article 281 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said that these repressive actions are being carried out for an external audience with an attempt to discredit Ukraine in the eyes of the international community, as well as for an internal Russian audience to convince that Ukrainians are allegedly dangerous.
On May 18, 2017, Dmytro Shtyblikov entered into a pre-trial agreement with the investigation, that is, he pleaded guilty. None of the independent lawyers were allowed to see him. On November 16, 2017, the so-called Sevastopol City Court sentenced him to 5 years in a maximum security penal colony and to a fine of 200 thousand rubles.
On April 4, 2019, the so-called Sevastopol City Court sentenced the so-called case of Ukrainian saboteurs defendants Volodimir Dudka and Oleksiy Bessarabov to 14 years in prison and imposed a fine of 350 and 300 thousand rubles, respectively.
