In the lists of prisoners who are being prepared for exchange before the Easter, there will be no political prisoners of Crimea. This was reported by the Minister for the reintegration of temporarily occupied territories, Oleksii Reznikov in his interview for the TSN news programme.
According to the official, the Ukrainian authorities are not giving up on attempts to implement the “all for all” format, but this time the Ukrainians who are being held by militants in the Donbas will be able to return home.
“The liberated prisoners as a result of the exchange will have to spend another two weeks in the observation. The places where they will be located are already prepared. There, the liberated will be provided with everything necessary, including medical care and communication with relatives”,- the report said.
However, the final lists for the exchange have not yet been formed, says Reznikov. The OSCE is awaiting Russia’s confirmation of the date of exchange, quantity and roll-call list.
“On Wednesday, during the meeting of the contact group, a fundamental agreement was reached. Lists were discussed, names were called. But final confirmation will be possible after confirmation from the other side”,- Reznikov said.
Earlier, lawyer Mykola Polozov said that Russia decided to suspend the negotiation process on the exchange of prisoners. We are talking about the Crimean Tatars and Ukrainians, whom the Russian government illegally detains in its territory and in the occupied Crimea.
