The so-called head of the occupied Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, said that the water supply in the three main sources reservoirs in Simferopol is sufficient for uninterrupted water supply to the city for 3.5 months, even if there is no precipitation. He reported this via his Facebook page.
“To date, the water supply in the three main sources in Simferopol – Ayan, Simferopol and Partisan reservoirs – is sufficient for uninterrupted water supply of the city within 3.5 months, if there is a complete lack of precipitation. At the same time, we can not completely exclude the transition to hourly water supply for now.” The city’s administration has the authority to introduce hourly water supply in high readiness mode”,- the report said.
He noted that as of April 3, the total water supply in the Crimean reservoirs of natural runoff is 113.7 million cubic meters, which is 96.8 million cubic meters less than last year on this date.
“The State Unitary Enterprise of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Water of Crimea” has developed a priority plan for the redistribution of water resources in conditions of water shortage in Simferopol. Employees continue large-scale monitoring and routing of water supply networks in order to detect hidden resource leaks and emergency sections in order to prevent and minimize water losses”,- added Aksyonov.
