On Wednesday, March 25, the defendant in the so-called second Bakhchisaray Hizb ut-Tahrir case Seyran Saliiev was visited by his lawyer in a pre-trial detention center in Rostov-on-Don. The political prisoner does not complain about health, but in case of illness of one of his cellmates, he is not isolated. In addition, no one provides proper treatment. It was reported by the Crimean solidarity public association.
Siyar Panych noted that despite quarantine, lawyers are allowed to contact the detainees. He discussed with the political prisoner the materials of the case, the course of the trial and agreed on the positions in the course of further consideration of the case.
“The state of his health has improved, there is no temperature, but, in his words, in case of illness of one of the detainees, and there are 8 people in the cell, he will not be isolated and after that the whole cell will sequentially get sick with these colds. Proper treatment is not provided, just the symptoms are relieved. Therefore, the political prisoners who are being held develop complications: their ears hurt, they get inflammations, etc”,- he explained.
