According to him, all the patients are residents of the peninsula who have returned from other countries – the UAE, Lithuania and Belgium.

“The diagnoses of all the patients were confirmed by the labs in the prescribed manner. All patients are hospitalized in the infectious departments of medical organizations of the Republic of Crimea, all are placed in separate boxes” – Aksenov wrote on his Facebook page.

Four infected persons have  some symptomatic course of the disease observed, which is detected in the laboratory. Two patients  have a state of moderate severity. Patients receive the necessary treatment in accordance with the current protocol of the Ministry of Health.

The so-called “head” of Crimea noted that a circle of contact persons has been defined. Persons from close contacts – hospitalized to the infectious disease departments, persons from among remote contacts – are under medical supervision at the places of residence in isolation. A laboratory examination of these persons was organized. Previously, the occupation authorities of Crimea confirmed the first case of COVID-19. The “authorities” of the peninsula counted 37 people who were in close contact with the first patient.
