On Friday, March 20, in the occupied Crimea at the Opuk training ground, another illegal military exercise took place, in which more than 1,500 paratroopers, more than 300 units of military equipment, and 15 aircraft took part. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
“During the command and staff exercises conducted these days at the Opuk training ground in the Republic of Crimea with the Novorossiysk Guards Airborne Assault Formation, units and subunits, having loaded military equipment and personnel on large landing ships of the Black Sea Fleet, made a sea voyage and landed on an unequipped coast in the eastern part of Crimea”,- the report said.
It is noted that the paratroopers destroyed the defending enemy, raided the firing range, where the stage of live firing from the standard armament of the airborne combat vehicles took place.
“The exercise involved more than 1,500 paratroopers, more than 300 units of military equipment, as well as 15 IL-76MD aircraft of the military transport aviation of the Russian Air Force and large landing ships of the Black Sea Fleet, about 50 units of guns and mortars, transport and combat helicopters – 8 AMTSH”,- added the press service.
We remind that in the occupied Crimea, military exercises, propaganda for military service and conscription into the armed forces of the Russian Federation are regularly held. The Russian military exercises destroy the ecosystem of the peninsula and are a gross violation of international law.
Earlier, in a statement on Crimea, NATO condemned the ongoing large-scale buildup of Russia's military power in Crimea and expressed concern about Russia's efforts and stated plans to further build up military power in the Black Sea region.
