The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine expresses its strong protest in connection with the next visit of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to the temporarily occupied Crimea, which was not agreed with Ukraine. A note of protest was handed over to the Russian Foreign Ministry. This was reported by the press service of the Foreign Ministry.

“Ukraine considers this visit, like all previous trips of Russian officials to the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, inconsistent with the Ukrainian side, a gross violation by the Russian side of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, a cynical and demonstrative neglect by the Russian side of universally recognized principles and requirements of international law”, – the statement underlined.
The Foreign Ministry emphasized that the trips of Russian officials to the occupied peninsula, as well as the illegal construction of the so-called “Crimean bridge”, are not the signs of a change in the status of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. In connection with this visit, a note of protest was handed over to the Russian Foreign Ministry.
We remind that on March 18, Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the occupied Crimea, where he met with the so-called head of the peninsula and the so-called acting head of the government, and also presented state awards to the builders of the Kerch Bridge.
