“Today, February 23, 2020, a rally protesting the occupation of Crimea took place on Beyazıt Square. For 6 years now, our compatriots have been in a very difficult position – they are not able to adhere to their customs, freely practice their faith, and learn their own language. Now the Crimean Tatars who live in Crimea are being persecuted because of their ethnicity and religion”,- the report underlined.

It is noted that the meeting was attended by the representatives of Crimean Tatar communities, other Turkic communities and the Ukrainian Culture Association.
