February 17, 2020

On Sunday, February 16, the so-called Kerch City Court of occupied Crimea arrested four Ukrainian fishermen for ten days who were captured in the Sea of Azov for “illegal fishing.” This was reported by the Russian state news agency TASS.

“The individuals detained the day before by the officers of the Border Directorate of the FSB of Russia for Crimea in the Sea of Azov were found guilty of an administrative offense under Part 4 of Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of Russia (“disobedience to a lawful demand or request of an employee of the federal security service performing his/her official duties, as well as obstruction of such performance”). “They were put under an administrative arrest for 10 days”,- the press service of the FSB Border Administration for Crimea claimed in a statement.

We remind that on February 15, officers of the FSB of Russia in Crimea detained a ship with four citizens of Ukraine in the Sea of Azov without identification documents.
