Crimean resident detained by FSB for allegedly “working for Ukrainian intelligence services”

On Friday, January 24, the FSB of the Russian Federation announced the detention of a Crimean man who allegedly assembled caches with ammunition and explosives in Crimea. In relation to the detainee, criminal cases have been instituted under Part 2 of Article 222, Part 2 of Article 222.1 of the Criminal Code (illegal acquisition, storage, transportation of explosives and ammunition committed by a group of individuals in a preliminary conspiracy).

“During the search activities, 9 electric detonators, 3 fuses, delayed fuses and explosive devices with a total mass of more than 5 kg were found and seized in the caches in Simferopol”,- the FSB claimed.

It is noted that search measures and investigative actions are ongoing.

By the decision of the occupation court, the Crimean citizen was selected a preventive measure in the form of detention.
