After the occupation of Crimea, Russian Federation actively practices transportation of political prisoners to its territories. According to the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, since 2014, sixty Crimean political prisoners have been unlawfully held on the Russian territory. As far as the political prisoners are concerned, their rights to due process, decent level of physical and mental health, and medical care are systematically violated. Such actions violate the principles of international law, particularly Geneva Convention, European Convention on Human Rights, International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and other.
