The United Nations Human Rights Monitoring Mission visited the Crimean administrative border at Kalanchak and Chonhar checkpoints, but failed to reach the annexed peninsula. The press service of the United Nations Human Rights Monitoring Mission reports about this occurence.
The press service informs that the Russian Federation continues to refuse the UN Monitoring Mission in Ukraine to access Crimea in accordance with the relevant resolutions of the UN General Assembly.
"Visited the administrative border with Crimea, Kalanchak and Chongar checkpoints. Such visits and communication with people crossing the administrative border is one of the methods of remote monitoring of the human rights situation in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, Ukraine, temporarily occupied by Russia", – the message outlines.
