On February 26, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky initiated the International Platform for the release of prisoners and civilians illegally held by the Russian Federation as part of the implementation of the fourth point of the Ukrainian Peace Formula.
«As of today, no one can still say exactly how many of our citizens – children and adults, soldiers and civilians – are held in Russian captivity, in Russian deportation, in camps and prisons of the terrorist state. But each of us can and must say absolutely precisely and concretely: we must do the maximum to bring all these people back home to Ukraine. And I am happy every time it succeeds – when Ukrainians and Ukrainian women return, when they are welcomed here with our flag, on our land by our people. Returning from Putin’s Russia to Ukraine, back home, is really a return from the embrace of death,» Volodymyr Zelensky said.
The President emphasized that we must do everything for the return of all prisoners and deportees.
