“Thanks to Turkey’s mediation, we managed to achieve significant humanitarian results. Now we are counting on further efforts. I handed over today a list of our Ukrainian citizens, in particular Crimean Tatars, who were repressed by Russia in the occupied territories of Ukraine and are held in Russian prisons and camps in extremely cruel, inhumane conditions,” Volodymyr Zelensky said.

He emphasized the importance of freeing everyone – prisoners of war and civilian, including those who were subjected to repression “just because of who he or she is.”

“Ukrainians, Crimean Tatars – everybody. People like Nariman Dzhelyal, Leniie Umerova, Server Mustafayev and all the rest of our illegally imprisoned. Everyone deserves a dignified life in their own home and in peace,” the president said.
