Political prisoner Zekirya Muratov was transferred to Nizhny Novgorod penal colony. This was reported by his daughter Lenara Mutalupova to the Crimean Tatar Resource Center.
“These days Daddy was transferred to Nizhny Novgorod penal colony, he contacted Zonatelecom and informed us about it. So far for two more weeks he will be in quarantine,” – she reported.
We would like to remind, on July 7, Russian security forces conducted mass searches in the houses of the Crimean Tatars in Bakhchisaray, Krasnogvardeisky and Akmesdzhit (Simferopol) districts of the occupied Crimea. Seven people were detained. All of them were taken to the FSB department in Akmesdzhit (Simferopol). On July 7, the Kyiv district “court” of Akmesdzhit (Simferopol) sent Alexander Sizikov, a disabled person of the first group, under house arrest. On July 8, the Kyiv district “court” of the occupied Crimea chose a measure of restraint for Ismet Ibragimov, Zekirya Muratov, Vadim Bektimirov, Emil Ziyadinov, Alim Sufyanov and Seyran Khairetdinov in the form of detention.
On August 17, 2021, it became known that COVID-19 was found in a political prisoner.
On July 12, 2023, the Court of Cassation of the Russian Federation left Muratov’s sentence unchanged.
