Zekirya Muratov, a defendant in the Hizb ut-Tahrir case, suffers from health problems, in particular high blood pressure and heart failure. It is reported by the Crimean Solidarity.

His lawyer, Igor Elifanov, said Muratov could only call his family once a month and talk for no more than 15 minutes. The right to one long and one short visit was also granted.

“After he got sick with COVID-19 a year ago in a pre-trial detention center, he lost a lot of weight. But he is not discouraged because of this, he is holding on”,- said his lawyer, Igor Elifanov.

According to Muratov’s daughter, Lenara Mutalupova, he sits in a cell for five people, goes to Friday prayers at the mosque on the territory of the prison.

“There was no friction with the administration, it is not a conflict with us, there were no complaints”,- she explained.
