In the temporarily occupied Donetsk and Crimea, the Russian army command is systematically sending wounded soldiers back into combat instead of discharging them on medical grounds. This involves, in particular, returning them to assault units, which are mainly sent to the Zaporizhzhia direction. This was reported by the military-patriotic movement “Atesh” on Telegram.
According to the movement, this practice has become commonplace in Russian military hospitals in the occupied territories and is carried out with the direct involvement of the command and controlled military medical commissions.
We note that wounded soldiers are being denied the opportunity to undergo rehabilitation and are effectively being forced to return to the front lines, ignoring the severity of their injuries.
A similar case was recently reported in occupied Akmesdzhit (Simferopol). After suffering multiple shrapnel wounds, severe concussion, and hearing loss, a Russian soldier was given an ultimatum in the hospital instead of rehabilitation. The command applied pressure: either “voluntarily” sign a new contract or be immediately sent to an assault unit on the front line without any rehabilitation. As a result of threats of physical destruction during the assault and psychological pressure, the soldier was forced to sign the documents. This confirms that the soldier’s ability to perform is irrelevant to the system — the key priority is only to fill in positive information,” Ateş emphasized.
We remind you that the Crimean Tatar Resource Center previously launched the “Mobilization” campaign, which informs Crimean residents about how to avoid mobilization, what to do if they receive a draft notice, how to sabotage mobilization, how to leave for third countries, etc.
