During the attack on Kefe (Feodosiia), the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed the ship Novocherkassk. This was announced by the commander of the Ukrainian Air Force Mykola Oleshchuk in his telegram channel.
“And the fleet in Russia is getting smaller! This time, the flagship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, the cruiser Moskva, is followed by the large landing ship Novocherkassk”.- he wrote.
It is known that on the night of December 26, the Air Force attacked a large landing ship with cruise missiles and the target was hit. The Russian head of Crimea, Sergei Aksenov, said that one person was killed and several others were injured as a result of the shelling.
“Unfortunately, as a result of an enemy attack in Feodosiia, one person was killed and two were injured. Six buildings were damaged – mostly windows were broken”,- says Aksenov.
The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed the attack on the ship. Later, they also stated that the Russian military, for their part, shot down two Su-24s, from which the Ukrainian Armed Forces fired at the ship, but Yurii Ihnat, a representative of the command of the Ukrainian Air Force, denied these statements on Radio Liberty.
“Of course I don’t confirm. They destroy five of our planes every day in their reports. Therefore, there is no need to believe any options here. Su-24M are aircraft of the tactical aviation brigade; the aircraft are located in Starokostiantyniv. It is clear that now aviation is not sitting at home; now aviation at operational airfields is carrying out those combat missions. It is clear that Russia will try to present to the population the facts about the destruction of our aviation. They destroy a package of planes in their reports. It’s not that some media or telegram channels wrote this, but this is their official information, fake. There, the entire combat strength of aviation leaves within a month. However, they have already begun to destroy the F-16. Therefore, you shouldn’t believe Russian statements about some destroyed planes”,- he said.
