The Cabinet of Ministers is going to submit to the National Security and Defense Council a proposal to ban any transport links with the Russian Federation for 50 years. This is stated in the order of the Cabinet of Ministers dated January 19, 2024.
According to the document, they will provide:
ban on direct air traffic with Ukraine, as well as the use of Ukrainian airspace and airspace over the open sea, for all types of direct and transit flights of aircraft owned (operated) by legal entities – residents of the Russian Federation;
a ban on the entry into Ukraine of vehicles registered on the territory of the Russian Federation;
a ban on the import into the customs territory of Ukraine under all customs regimes of railway rolling stock for persons associated with the aggressor state, as well as rolling stock registered with the Russian Railways.
In addition, there will be a ban on navigation in the internal waters of Ukraine and entry into Ukrainian seaports of ships that have any connection with the Russian Federation.
