Ukraine is developing scenarios for the de-occupation of Crimea. Andrii Yusov, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, spoke about this in an interview with Ukrainian News.
“There are different scenarios for the development of the situation. Ukraine is doing everything possible to make this happen as quickly as possible and with fewer losses of Ukrainian defenders. The volume of deliveries of military aid by our partners and, in general, the development of the situation at the front depend on this. The enemy is also preparing for defense”,- Yusov said.
According to him, options for the liberation of Crimea by land and by sea will be taken separately.
“Which of them will be effective and at what point – the decision is made separately”,- Yusov added.
He does not rule out the possibility of a goodwill gesture on the part of the invaders, but noted that they do not expect such a scenario.
“Other scenarios are also possible. Ukrainian forces are working precisely on the liberation of Crimea. If, due to the internal and external situation, the occupiers decide to voluntarily leave the occupied territory, including Crimea, this will be the right decision that will save the lives of their soldiers and stop a number of war crimes in Crimea. But our task is to ensure this without waiting for other scenarios”,- Yusov added.
