Tymur Yalkabov needs treatment

Tymur Yalkabov, a defendant in the third Simferopol Hizb ut-Tahrir case, lost 25 kilograms after the punishment cell and needs treatment. This was reported by his wife to the Crimean Solidarity.

After Yalkabov was returned from the detention chamber to the Dimitrovgrad prison, he called his wife Aliya and complained of severe pain in his knees, due to which he was forced to pray.

“Psoriasis also began to bother me very much, I lost 25 kilograms”,– she added.

We remind you that on February 17, 2021, Russian security forces conducted seven searches in the homes of Crimean Tatars in Bilohirsk, Bakhchysarai, Simferopol, Sevastopol and the Sovietske district of the occupied Crimea. The detainees are charged with article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The Kyiv district court and the Lenin district court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for the detained Crimean Tatars – Ernest Ibrahimov, Tymur Yalkabov, Azamat Eiupov, Oleg Fedorov, Lenur Seidametov and Yashar Shykhametov.

On March 22, 2022, the Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don announced the verdict on Tymur Yalkabov. He was sentenced to 17 years in prison with the first 4 years in prison.
