The Supreme ‘court’ of the occupied Crimea has left political prisoners Memet Lyumanov and Rustem Osmanov in a pre-trial detention centre. They will remain in custody until 4 November 2024. This was reported by ‘Crimean solidarity’ public association.
The court hearing was held in closed mode, the political prisoners themselves participated in the hearing via videoconference from the detention centre.
We would like to remind that on 5 March 2024 early in the morning, Russian occupiers in Bakhchisarai and Dzhankoy districts of the occupied Crimea conducted mass searches in the homes of Crimean Tatars. Searches were conducted in the houses of: Rustem Osmanov, Aziz Azizov, Memet Lyumanov, Mustafa Abduramanov, Remzi Kurtnezirov, Vahid Mustafayev, Ali Mamutov, Arsen Kashka, Enver Khalilaev, Nariman Ametov. All the detainees were accused of violating Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
