Two Muslim schools shut down in Akmesdzhit on denunciation – activist #LIBERATECRIMEA

On 4 July in Akmesdzhit (Simferopol), Russian law enforcers entered two religious Muslim schools, where they allegedly found violations and literature banned in Russia. The educational institutions were then closed. The Russian authorities claim that the schools were allegedly affiliated with the “pro-Ukrainian Muslim organisationMuftiyat Tavrichesky “.
The Crimean branch of the international movement for the deoccupation of Crimea #LIBERATECRIMEA told “Krym.Realii” in a comment that the schools were closed following a denunciation by the pro-Russian Crimean Tatar activist Eyvaz Umerov.

As we can see, currently fighting against Ukraine in the assault unit of the Russian troops formed from prisoners contracted with the Russian Defence Ministry, Eyvaz Umerov continues to write denunciations to the Russian security forces.

“Umerov on his page “VKontakte” published information about the allegedly anti-Russian ideological orientation of these schools. In the comment to his post, he said that “it is sent to all law enforcers and there are results”. Until 2014, Umerov tried to head the Sudak regional Mejlis, but people did not support him. After the occupation, he joined Ruslan Balbek’s group, headed the Russian public organisation “National Cultural Autonomy of Crimean Tatars” and got the position of the Russian deputy head of the Sudak administration. Then together with his patron fell into disfavour with the Russian authorities of Crimea and was deprived of everything, including freedom,” – told #LiberateCrimea activist.

The activist noted that apparently, in this way, he is trying to find new patrons in the Russian security services, who could get him out of the front line.
