The whereabouts of Vadym Bektemyrov, whose transferring began in September, still remains unknown. His wife, Lemara Bektemyrova, reported this to the Crimean Tatar Resource Center.
“On September 21, the cellmate called his wife on the Telecom Zone and told him that his cellmate Vadym Bektemyrov had been taken away that day. There is no more information. … No news, where is he, what is he…”,- said the wife.
We remind you that on July 7, Russian security forces conducted mass searches in the houses of Crimean Tatars in the Bakhchysarai, Krasnohvardiiske and Simferopol regions of occupied Crimea. Seven people were detained and arrested.
On June 19, it became known that Vadym Bektemyrov was transferred to a prison in Yelets, which is a violation of the Geneva Convention.
