From October 16, 2023, the Russian Federation will introduce restrictions on the entry of Ukrainian citizens into its territory from the territory of third countries.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, entry of Ukrainian citizens into the territory of the aggressor state from third countries will be allowed only at two checkpoints across the state border:
Air checkpoint Sheremetyevo (Moscow).
Automobile checkpoint Ludonka in the Pskov region (border with the Republic of Latvia; checkpoint on the territory of Latvia – Vientuļu, which is one of the smallest checkpoints on the border of the EU and Russia).
It is noted that the restrictions will not apply to Ukrainian citizens under the age of 14 who enter the territory of Russia independently or accompanied by Russian citizens.
“This exception is provided to continue the implementation of the policy of kidnapping Ukrainian children and their illegal transfer to the Russian Federation”,- the statement says.
In this regard, and due to the high risks to personal safety, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine recommends that Ukrainians refrain from any travel to the Russian Federation, and those who are in this country immediately leave its territory.
