The Russian Federation continues to destroy the Khan’s Palace under the guise of restoration

January 29, 2024

Under the guise of restoration, Russian occupiers continue to destroy the famous Khan’s Palace in occupied Bakhchysarai.

The Russians show the whole world that they are supposedly carrying out important restoration work in the palace to preserve it, although in fact they are only destroying it. After all, the occupiers do not at all adhere to the appropriate technologies for carrying out such work. Their actions only cause great harm to the palace, the walls of which are already propped up with sticks.

Moreover, the occupiers continue to carry out illegal excavations there. And as you can see from our photographs, all exhibits are stored in unacceptable conditions.

Unfortunately, now we see how the monument of the 16th century, which is a unique architectural monument and the only example of Crimean Tatar palace architecture in the world, is being destroyed.

We must remember this not only when something collapses again, or when the occupiers destroy another hall. We need to pay attention to this constantly and respond to the illegal actions of the occupiers in advance so that it is not too late…

The CTRC notes that the occupation authorities will sooner or later be held responsible for all illegal actions, including the so-called restoration of the Khan’s Palace. Occupiers, think about it! Stop destroying the architectural monument of the indigenous Crimean Tatar people!
