The occupation authorities of Crimea have halved utility bills for almost 13 thousand participants in the war against Ukraine and their families. RIA News Crimea reports this.
“The Law of the Republic of Crimea of May 29, 2923 already introduced changes to the law on measures of social support for certain categories of citizens, when we introduced additional measures for combatants and participants in a special military operation – this is a 50 percent discount on utility bills. The current bill provides for the extension of the same measures to members of their families”,- said the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Crimea Elena Romanovskaya.
The Russian authorities manipulate money on a constant basis: any benefits that are received from this state later become an instrument of oppression. Thus, during illegal elections in the occupied territories, the occupiers threatened beneficiaries and the elderly that they would no longer receive assistance if they did not vote.
The Crimean Tatar Resource Center recommends not to cooperate with the occupiers, especially if it is based on money.
