On January 12, 2024, the Academic Council of Vernadskyy TNU considered information on the proposal of the Ministry of Education and Science to the Government of Ukraine on the reorganization of the Vernadskyy Tauric National University by joining it to the National University Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.
Why can’t this be done?
Now we are actually talking about the liquidation of an educational institution with a hundred-year history… Vernadskyy Tavrida National University is the only institution of higher education that, after the occupation of Crimea, was moved to Kyiv.
It is known that, as a result of the discussion, the leadership of the Vernadskyy Tavrida National University sent an official letter to the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine with an appeal to preserve the University.
On Wednesday, January 24 at 12:00, a press conference will be held in the assembly hall of the Vernadskyy Tavrida National University (John McCain St., 33), at which it is planned to highlight and discuss the importance of preserving the only Crimean university as a center of education and culture!
