The occupiers in Crimea are actively opening monuments to Russian figures

November 14, 2023

Over the past week, the occupiers in Crimea have opened two monuments dedicated to Russian and Soviet figures.

A monument to collaborator, Russian political and public figure Kirill Stremousov was unveiled in Aqmescit (Simferopol).

A monument to Soviet counterintelligence officer Pyotr Fedotov was unveiled in the village of Koreiz.

We see how the occupiers are trying with all their might to erase the connection between the indigenous peoples of Crimea and the peninsula, rewrite the entire real history and strengthen the assertion that Crimea has always been Russian.

It is very important to counteract such a policy of the Russian Federation and work now to restore the historical toponymy of Crimea for the sake of our common victory!

Let us remind you that the Crimean Tatar Resource Center continues the information and advocacy campaign – Return the names – Return Crimea, which is aimed at restoring historical toponyms on the peninsula.
