‘In the Kerch State Maritime Technical University occupation ‘authorities’ introduced a new procedure for the payment of scholarships. Consequently, students will receive financial support only if they are put on the so-called military registration. This step is another attempt of forced militarization of young people in the temporarily occupied territories and grossly violates international human rights norms,’ – the statement says.
The Crimean Tatar Resource Center notes that such actions indicate the critical state of the demographic situation in Russia itself. The aggressor country is forced to attract even students to its army, which once again proves the reduction of its human resources. That is why the Russian occupation administration continues the policy of attracting young people from the temporarily occupied Crimea to its military machine.
