On Thursday, December 15, a meeting of the Coordinating Headquarters was held in Kyiv, during which, at the initiative of the lawyer of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center Volodymyr Lyashenko, the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine provided an explanation on the procedure for considering documents of illegal bodies of the temporary occupied territories.

Lawyer of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center Volodymyr Liashenko emphasized the importance of the issue of the procedure for considering documents of illegal bodies of temporary occupied territories, and that is why, on his persistent initiative, the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine provided an explanation to the state registration authorities of civil status acts on the procedure for considering documents of illegal bodies of temporary civil status acts held on such territories.

In particular, in the clarification, the Ministry of Justice noted that a written refusal to state registration of acts of civil status on the basis of such illegal documents should be issued by the applicants on the day of their application, and in the presence of force majeure (air raid alarm, power outage) – no later than the next working day.

“This will significantly speed up the consideration of such appeals, since the state registration authorities consider such appeals within the timeframes provided for by the Law of Ukraine On Citizens’ Appeals: within a month from the date of the appeal”,- the lawyer explained.
