The autonomy’s prosecutor’s office sent to court an indictment against the Crimean military commissar, who recruited Ukrainians into the Russian army. This was reported by the press service of the prosecutor’s office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Aqyar (Sevastopol).

It is known that after the events in 2014, the accused went over to the side of the Russian authorities. Already in 2016, he took the position of military commissar of the Republic of Crimea for the Black Sea and Rozdolnenske districts.

“Implementing the illegal decrees of the Russian Federation and its occupation administration, he directly developed a plan and ensured the conduct of forced conscription campaigns. Consequently, the military commissar organized at least 8 conscription companies of Crimean residents for military service in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation”,- the prosecutor’s office said in a statement.

The identity of the accused is not known, but according to information from Suspilne.Crimea, his name is Artur Sarukhanian.

He faces up to 12 years in prison.

We remind you that the Crimean Tatar Resource Center last year launched an information campaign Grave Mobilization, within the framework of which residents of Crimea are informed about the consequences of participating in the war on the side of the Russian Federation, how they can avoid mobilization, what to do if they receive a summons, how to travel to third countries and etc.
