The impact of the war on the climate of Crimea and the indigenous peoples of Ukraine will be discussed in Dubai

On Saturday, December 2 at 16:30 (Kyiv time), a side event “Renewable energy sources and climate impacts: ecocide, green reconstruction, indigenous perspectives on war-stricken Ukraine”will be held by the Crimean Tatar Resource Center and Ecoclub in Dubai as part of the 28th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28).

The main goal of the event is to discuss the direct and indirect environmental and economic impacts on climate change that have already been caused or may occur in the future as a result of the occupation of Crimea and the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Speakers will pay special attention to determining the degree of negative impact of Russian actions on the traditional way of life of indigenous peoples living in Crimea.
