The occupation chairman of the Russian Electoral Commission of Crimea was informed of suspicion of complicity in collaboration activities. The Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea reports this.
According to the investigation, thanks to the active assistance of the suspect, several Russian polling stations were opened and organized in six cities of Crimea in August 2022: in Aqyar (Sevastopol), Aqmescit (Simferopol), Kerch, Dzhankoi, Kezlev (Yevpatoriia) and Yalta.
“The suspect, representing the interests of the aggressor state, helped the occupiers in holding an illegal referendum on the territory of Crimea in August 2022. The man coordinated the formation and functioning of enemy territorial commissions, as well as opened and organized the work of the occupation polling stations and supplied technological equipment”,- the report says.
The name of the person involved is not known, but from open sources it is known that he might be Mykhailo Malyshev, who has held this position since 2014.
