Friends, today, on Crimean Tatar Flag Day, we want to raise a very important issue!
Many Ukrainians believe that it is the Crimean Tatar flag that is the official flag of Crimea, but unfortunately, the official flag of Crimea is still the tricolour, which differs from the Russian flag only in proportions. This tricolour, which is the symbol of the illegal “Republic of Crimea”, is still de jure official in Ukraine.
Time to change that and get rid of everything Russian!
The flag of the Crimean Tatar people has the right to be official in Crimea, and the Crimean Tatar Flag Day should be recognised at an official level.
Now we have legal mechanisms to cancel the official status of the tricolour, and the President by his decree can grant the status of the official flag of the Crimean Tatar people even before the liberation of Crimea and the restoration of Ukrainian power there.
Let’s get the attention of the President of Ukraine. Tag Volodymyr Zelenskyy in social networks and urge him to grant official status to the Day of the Crimean Tatar flag. And subsequently, already make the necessary changes to our legislation so that the Crimean Tatar flag becomes the official flag of Crimea.
