Doctor Olha Mazurova asked for medical assistance to journalist Iryna Danylovych, who went on a dry hunger strike. It is reported by Crimea.Realities.
“Iryna suffers from purulent otitis media (inflammation of the middle and inner ear). She suffers from intense headaches and (according to her father) blood flow in the ear canal”,- she noted.
Mazurova drew attention to Iryna’s health problems, most of which appeared after the nurse was sentenced to 7 years in prison. The doctor believes that the journalist needs thermal surgery, otherwise the woman may lose her hearing and develop a brain abscess.
“I ask for your help in urgently placing Irina in a specialized hospital to provide the necessary medical care”,- Mazurova said in an appeal to Russian Ombudswoman Tatyana Moskalkova.
We remind you that on April 29, in the occupied Crimea in the village of Vladyslavivka near Feodosiia, Russian security forces searched the house of civic journalist Iryna Danylovych, after which the woman was detained.
On March 22, Iryna Danylovych went on a dry hunger strike until she was provided with normal medical treatment or until her death. She took this step in protest against the bullying of her by the administration of the pre-trial detention center because of the failure to provide medical assistance.
