The director of a Russian railway company faces imprisonment for illegal transportation to Crimea

The prosecutor’s office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea reported suspicion to the director of a Russian railway company for illegally transporting people to occupied Crimea. This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

The Ukrainian investigation established that a Russian citizen, while holding the position of general director of the railway company Grand Service Express, organized illegal shipments from Crimea to Russia and vice versa.

“When planning passenger transportation, the company maintained coordination with Russian government authorities, in particular the Federal Agency for Railway Transport”,- the prosecutor’s office said.

The actions of the suspect are qualified under Part 3 of Art. 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine). He faces up to 9 years in prison.

The name of the suspect is not mentioned, but the official, who was not authorized to talk to the media and wanted to remain anonymous, told Crimea.Realities that the person in question is Aleksandr Ganov.
