The body of Nabi Rakhimov, who was killed by security forces in 2021, is being refused. It is reported by the Crimean Solidarity.
“The deceased Rakhimov professed Islam, according to the canons, the earliest possible burial of the deceased person is necessary”,- said the appeal of the lawyer, Edem Semedliaiev.
The body is not handed over, despite the fact that by doing so the Investigative Committee violates the laws of Russia.
“The burial of persons whose criminal prosecution in connection with their participation in terrorist activities has been terminated due to their death following the termination of this terrorist act is carried out in the manner established by the Government of the Russian Federation. The bodies of these persons are not issued for burial, the place of their burial is not reported”,- the representative of the occupying Investigative Committee said in a response.
We remind you that on May 11, 2021, in the occupied Crimea in the village of Zavetnoye, Russian security forces came to the house of Nabi Rakhimov. His wife and two children were in the house. The woman Sokhiba Burkhanova was taken to the migration department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Soviet District, where a protocol was drawn up for violating the regime of residence in the Russian Federation. The court decided to deport the woman.
Later, the Russian security forces decided to conduct a search in Simferopol, in the Dubky microdistrict, where Nabi Rakhimov was probably located. During this search, the man was shot dead.
On April 2, 2023, the widow of Rakhimov, Sokhiba Burkhanova, who had been held in Russia for two years in the center where foreign citizens are, was finally able to leave Russia.
