The march Chieftain of the Union of Cossacks of Feodosia” will be tried in Ukraine. About it reports the press-service of the Prosecutor’s office of Crimea.
According to the investigation, in February-March 2014, the “ataman” participated in the blocking of the checkpoint “Crimea”, the military airfield Kirovske, which was subsequently seized by rf troops.
His actions are qualified as:
- p. 2 Art. 110 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (“Encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine.”);
- p. 1 Art. 111 part 1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (“High treason.”);
- p. 2, Art. 260 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (“Participation in the activities of an armed formation not provided for by law.”).
The name and surname of the defendant are not disclosed, however, according to “Krym.Realii” it is known that it is a pro-Russian activist Borys Yaremka.
