Simferopol resident Stanislav Stetsenko received 12 years for helping the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Stanislav Stetsenko, born in Simferopol, who passed on information about flights of Russian military aircraft to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, received 12 years in prison.

According to Russian media, Stetsenko began cooperating with the Armed Forces of Ukraine even before the start of a full-scale invasion. To obtain information, the man used radio, binoculars, an aeronautical map of the Crimea and amateur radio equipment, as well as receivers and special programs for aviaspotting on a computer. All used equipment is openly sold in the Crimea.

Russian media also report that the man worked in the administration of the State Council of Crimea in some technical position.

In June 2021, an illegal search was conducted at Stetsenko’s house, after which he was detained.

On December 22, 2022, Stanislav Stetsenko was found guilty and sentenced to 12 years in prison.
