Political prisoner Seyran Khairetdynov was hospitalized for a week in critical condition at the Interregional Tuberculosis Hospital in Rostov-on-Don. This was reported by his wife Zarema Khairetdynova in a commentary to Crimean Solidarity.
He was hospitalized due to a rash all over his body and a fever.
“On May 21, he noticed that about 15-20 small red pimples appeared on his right side, in the liver area. The next day they began to spread, there were many more of them. They started to itch a lot. The temperature rose and lasted all day. A day later, acne appeared on the sides and back, they began to expand and merge. The itch did not give him rest. He could not sleep and eat”,- said the wife of the political prisoner.
He was examined, but not immediately hospitalized, but after he was taken for an initial examination and returned to the isolation ward. Against the background of the disease and improper care of the hospital, Khairetdynov lost four kilograms.
“He became like a lizard, dark red, it was no longer a rash, but a kind of solid burn”,- Zarema reported.
Despite his condition, Khairetdynov was forced to participate in the court session via video link from the pre-trial detention center and only then was taken to the hospital.
The political prisoner said that a dermatologist examined him and, without any tests or smears, diagnosed him with pitiriasis. Khairetdynov was transferred to a cell with a prisoner who was diagnosed with HIV infection and hepatitis C.
“Now the places where the skin was affected are dark in color. After droppers and medication, the itching stopped, pressure and temperature returned to norm”,- Zarema Khairetdynova repeated the words of the lawyer.
On June 3, 2023, the Crimean Tatar was returned to the pre-trial detention center 1 in the city of Rostov-on-Don.
“Although his doctor said she would be treating Seyran until at least the end of next week. It turns out that he was not cured completely and was returned back to the pre-trial detention center”,- added the wife of the political prisoner.
We remind that in 2022, Hulnara Khairetdynova, having left for another trip to her son’s court in the city of Rostov-on-Don, took a small folding knife with herself. She wanted to cut food for them on their way.
When the woman went to court, she forgot to leave the knife in the car. At the entrance to the court building, while examining the bag, the bailiff found him and drew up a protocol on an administrative offense.
