Server Zakiryaev has been held in cell-type room for two months

January 30, 2024

A defendant in the Hizb ut-Tahrir case, Server Zakiryaev, was kept in a cell-type room for two months and his family was not allowed to see him. The wife of political prisoner Zarema Zakiryaeva reported this to Crimean Solidarity.

The decision to move Zakiryaev to the cell-type room was made by the colony administration in November 2023. The last time the wife saw Zekiryaev was on a date meeting in September 2022. The colony employees argue for this with the article that they incriminate the Crimean Tatar.

“They just come into his cell and write violations. They treat him like a hardened criminal”,- she noted.

We remind you that on October 11, 2017, in the city of Bakhchysarai, the occupiers conducted mass searches in 6 houses of Crimean Tatars – Marlen Asanov, Seyran Saliiev, Timur Ibrahimov, Memet Belyalov, Ernest Ametov, Server Zakiryaev. Everyone was detained. They were charged under Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation Participation in the activities of an organization that, in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation, is recognized as terrorist. On September 16, 2020, in the Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don, Crimean Tatars were sentenced to terms of 13 to 19 years in prison.

On February 5, 2023, it became known that Server was in a punishment cell for 15 days without any explanation.
