“Scythian gold” will be exhibited in Kyiv from 5 July until the deoccupation of Crimea

On 5 July in the Treasure House of the National Museum of History of Ukraine with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine and the BGV Charitable Foundation will open the exhibition “Treasures of Crimea. Return.”

“The exposition will actually become permanent within the walls of the Museum and will last until the final deoccupation of Crimea, after which the collection is planned to be moved to the territory of the peninsula.” – noted in the Ministry.

We will remind, in June 2023, the Supreme Court of the Netherlands confirmed the decision of the courts of previous instances on the return to the homeland 565 items from the exhibition “Crimea: gold and secrets of the Black Sea”, which were exhibited in the Museum in Amsterdam. In total, these are more than 2,000 items from the collections of four Crimean museums.

“The event also marks the beginning of the return of all illegally stolen Ukrainian cultural heritage.” – the ministry added.
