The State Duma of the Russian Federation adopted a law according to which Russian soldiers who took part in the war against Ukraine will be released from criminal liability for crimes of small and medium gravity.
In addition, a law has already been adopted that allows, during the period of mobilization, to serve on a contract basis with convicted and limitedly fit citizens.
Among the crimes for which liability will not be removed are rape, terrorism, sabotage, treason and espionage.
We remind you that before that, the soldiers were promised to be given land plots in the occupied territories of Ukraine. The Russian authorities are trying by any means to lure the military to the war against Ukraine, including throwing criminals to the front straight from prisons.
