July 12, 2023

The Crimean Tatar Resource Center became aware that on July 6, 2023, Russian security forces detained a resident of the village of Pischane, Luhansk region, Volodymyr Kuznetsov, born in 1960.

According to the man’s relatives, Volodymyr was kidnapped for the third time. For the first time he was held from 03/13/2022 until 03/18/2022, and the second time – from 09/01/2022 to 01/11/2023.

After the last kidnapping, Volodymyr was allowed to call his adopted daughter from the first marriage, who also lives in the same village. He said that he was in Luhansk and reassured me not to worry.

After the second kidnapping, Volodymyr Kuznetsov gave his daughter the phone number of the investigator. She called him on July 8, and he rudely replied that they would check him, and if they didn’t find anything, they would let him go.

There is no more information.

On this occasion, the Crimean Tatar Resource Center is already preparing a statement to the UN Working Group on Enforced and Involuntary Disappearances.
