A participant in the events of the occupation of the peninsula with the call sign “Bes”, who tortured Automaidan activists in Crimea, received a sentence in absentia. This was reported by the Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Akyar (Sevastopol).
“In March 2014, in the city of Simferopol, under the leadership of the accused, his accomplices kidnapped activists, members of the “Automaidan” and imprisoned them in the military commissariat. All the victims were held in unsuitable premises, blindfolded, without proper food and communication with their relatives. To some of them, the accused personally used threats, torture, violence and inflicted bodily harm,” the ARC Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement.
The agency does not name the defendant, but it is known from open sources that it is Igor Bezler.
