Russian authorities take Kursk Region residents to the occupied Crimea

Under the guise of taking care of the population that has found itself in the war zone, the Russian authorities are taking people from Kursk region to health centres in the temporarily occupied Crimea. Thus, they are trying to fill half-empty sanatoriums in Crimea.

This, citing a comment by the deputy permanent representative of the president in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Denis Chistikov, writes Suspilne Crimea.

Now it is already known about 35 such persons. He also noted that such actions are a violation on the part of the Russian Federation of the Geneva convention on the transfer of population to the occupied territories.

We shall remind you that since the beginning of the occupation of the Ukrainian peninsula, Russia has been initiating and encouraging the movement of its population to the temporarily occupied territories. This happens in various ways: rotation of military and security forces, bringing medical and pedagogical workers to the peninsula and so on. Thus, the occupying country is trying to replace the local population and significantly affect the national composition of Ukrainian Crimea.
