Vladimir Putin signed a law revoking ratification of the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty. This was reported in a document published on the official website of legal information.
The State Duma of the Russian Federation adopted the law on October 18, and a week later it was approved by the Russian Federation Council.
“We have been waiting for 23 years for Washington to ratify the treaty. What is it? Double standards, meanness and irresponsible attitude, there is no other way to describe it. In this situation, we must be guided exclusively by the interests of the citizens of our country, our state. Therefore, there is a proposal to revoke ratification”,- said speaker Vyacheslav Volodin.
