Russian occupiers in Novooleksiivka, Henichesk district, Kherson region, broke down the doors and settled in the house of former political prisoner Edem Bekirov and his wife Gulnara Bekirova.

This was reported by the head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov.

Earlier, the Bekirov family was evacuated from the occupied part of the territory of Ukraine.

We remind you that on December 12, 2018, at the entrance to Crimea from the Chonhar checkpoint, Russian border guards detained a citizen of Ukraine, Crimean Tatar Edem Bekirov.

Edem Bekirov is one of the Crimean Tatar public activists in Novooleksiivka village. He is a disabled person of the 1st group. In January 2018, he fell ill with a complex heart operation, during which 4 shunts were installed. In addition, the man wears a removable prosthesis on his right leg (below the knee). For a long time he was kept in the dungeons of the FSB, but on September 7, 2019, as part of the prisoner exchange between Ukraine and the Russian Federation, Edem Bekirov returned to Ukraine.
